When e. and I first got engaged, we were debating whether or not to have a wedding ceremony. Wouldn't it be more fun to take that money and go on vacation? In the end, we decided to have a wedding, or else we might come to regret it. I mean, you only get married once right? (Crossing fingers.)
And after months of planning and a month to go, I'm happy with our decision (well, I might change my mind in a minute, I'm
mercurial like that). Planning a wedding is a good indicator of how your marriage is going to work:
- who is lazy and who is less lazy
- your attitudes toward spending money
- how to deal with your in-laws
- who is the good cop and who is the bad cop
- how you work together as a team
Hopefully, we'll come out of this alive.
