The ABC's about being an ABC

Looking forward to reading American Born Chinese.

Thinking about what to get people for Christmas. Probably will go with the old standby -- books. Oh yeah!

Demotivators

My favorite one.

"If you find yourself struggling with loneliness, you're not alone. And yet you are alone. So very alone."

Article about the company. Apparently, they have a patent on the frowny emoticon. You can view the patent here. Hmm, I wonder if I can patent =P. I use it enough.

The Chinese Backstreet Boys

A while back, anali emailed me a link to a video of two Chinese boys in their dorm room lipsyncing to BSB in front of their web cam. Who knew they would be come so popular as to have actual copycats! Yes, pairs of Asian boys and girls everyone are now making their own BSB videos in cramped dorm rooms as we speak. My favorite guy: the one in the back playing video games in front of his computer, thinking "God, not again!".

A new found offering of the Chinese BSB

My favorite moment: in the beginning, the tender stroke of the face. How cUte!!!

Wedded Bliss?

When e. and I first got engaged, we were debating whether or not to have a wedding ceremony. Wouldn't it be more fun to take that money and go on vacation? In the end, we decided to have a wedding, or else we might come to regret it. I mean, you only get married once right? (Crossing fingers.)

And after months of planning and a month to go, I'm happy with our decision (well, I might change my mind in a minute, I'm mercurial like that). Planning a wedding is a good indicator of how your marriage is going to work:

  • who is lazy and who is less lazy
  • your attitudes toward spending money
  • how to deal with your in-laws
  • who is the good cop and who is the bad cop
  • how you work together as a team

Hopefully, we'll come out of this alive.

Moving Day

I went to post on my Xanga blog today ( I get the urge once and a while), but I could not log in because I had forgotten my password. Now, this happens all the time to me. I guess I don't blog frequently enough. I forget my password and sometimes it is just not worth the trouble. Well I clicked on the "Forget password?" link and the screen told me to enter my username and the letters in the picture. A picture was no where to be found on the screen. Perhaps the people at Xanga had not tested their app on my version of firefox. Oh, screw it! I had already wasted enough time. Onto blogger.com (where I could see the silly lil picture)!
